This school was named for Reverend Olympia Brown, the first American woman to be ordained and champion of woman's suffrage, this school is located on a 26-acre site on the shore of Lake Michigan. The campus contains a field house, theater, music rooms, art room and multimedia library. Computer labs, a science center, a green house, a nature trail, a prairie garden and a domestic domain are available for student learning to augment curriculum.

This school was named for Stephen Bull, brother-in-law of Jerome I. Case and the first Vice-President of the J.I. Case Corporation.  Fine Arts is an alternative education program established in 1975. First opened in 1914 as the Stephen Bull Elementary School, the facility has specialists in vocal and instrumental music, dance and movement education, visual arts, creative dramatics and library science.

This school was named for Jerome I. Case, founder of the Racine Threshing Works, which was later renamed J.I. Case Corporation that is still based in Racine. Case High School was built in 1966 and is located on 68 acres on the southwest side of Racine.

This school was named for Nicholas D. Fratt who came to Racine in 1843 at the age of 18. He was the president of the Racine County Bank, which later was the First National Bank for over 50 years. He also was a politician from Racine who was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1876 and a candidate for Wisconsin Governor in 1881. Built in 1916, Fratt is a neighborhood school in West Racine, home of many of Racine's Danish immigrants.

This school was named for William C. Giese, the first principal of Washington Park High School in 1928. Giese School, opened in 1965 and is situated on a 12-acre rolling site. The 22-classroom structure consists of three educational clusters. This unique design earned the school an architectural award from the American Institute of Architects.

This school was named for W. Allen Gifford owner and president of the Progressive Dairy who once owned the land the school is now built on. Built on a 23-acre site in Franksville, Gifford is the largest public elementary school in Racine.

Built in 1961, this school was named for Walter S. Goodland, who was the Mayor of Racine from 1911-1915, Wisconsin delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1912, Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin from 1939-1943  and Governor of the State of Wisconsin from 1943-1947 .

This school was named for William Horlick, the founder of Horlick Malted Milk. The School was built in 1929 and enlarged in 1961. The enrollment is approximately 2,150 students. The school colors are scarlet and gray.

Located on the north side of Racine in the older downtown lakefront and historic and industrial center, this school was named for Hon. Lorenzo Janes, a judge. In 1845, Janes opened Congress Hall, the most splendid hotel in the Midwest which was located on the corner of Third Street and Lake Avenue. Janes School is located on the north side of Racine, in the older downtown lakefront and historic and industrial center of Racine. Janes was the first school in Wisconsin to offer year-round education.

This school was named for John L. Jerstad who served in the Army Air Corps  and Harold Agerholm who served in the Marine Corps, both during World War II and were recipients of the Wisconsin Medal of Honor.  Jerstad-Agerholm school is located on Racine's north side.

This school was named for Captain Gilbert Knapp a lake boat captain who founded "Port Gilbert" which is now Racine on the mouth of the root river in 1834. Knapp School opened in 1911 and is located on a 3.4-acre site on Racine's southwest side, Knapp is the third largest elementary school in the district.

This school was named for Henry Mitchell whose wagon works in Racine later went on to produce the Mitchell automobile. Located on the city's south side, the school was built in 1937 as a WPA project, and enlarged 1974.

Red Apple is a magnet school that was established in 1974 when parents, teachers and other community leaders came together to form an alternative school. Originally the school was named the Optional Elementary School. The name was changed because people thought it meant that attendance was options, not the choice in curriculum.

In 1877 Adolph Schulte and his brothers provided "music in the park" for Racine area residents. In 1923, brother Henry Schulte approached the Racine City Council and succeeded in getting an annual appropriation of funds to organize a "city band" and officially entertain the Racine citizenry. The name of that first ensemble, the Racine Park Board Band. Schulte School was built in 1967 on a 15-acre site in Sturtevant.

This school was named for Frank Starbuck Junior, a publisher of the Journal Times. Located on Racine's west side, Starbuck was opened in 1962.


Wadewitz

In 1907, Western Publishing was taken over by one of its creditors, a bookkeeper named E.H. Wadewitz. Wadewitz soon purchased a Chicago publishing company and set up Whitman Publishing Co. It would later gain fame as the publisher of Big Little Books and Golden Books for children.  Wadewitz School was built in 1957 as a combined elementary and orthopedic school. Located in the north-central portion of the city, the school has 24 regular classrooms and eight classrooms equipped for orthopedically impaired students.

The students who wanted to emphasize the difference of their school selected Walden's name. Not wishing to use Thoreau's Walden or Skinner's Walden Two, the students chose Walden III. The choice, you may wish to know when the school was started in 1972, was between Walden III and Frank Zappa High School. The full name of the school is Walden III an Alternative Secondary School in Process of Discovery. Walden  school is now in the old Franklin School building near the police department and city hall annex. The original part of the building was constructed in 1863. Walden III, a magnet school, draws a diverse student population.

The school traces its roots to 1852 when Racine High School, the first public school in Wisconsin opened. In 1926, the Racine School Board decided to replace Racine High School with a new school that would eventually become Park. This school was named for Washington Park. William C. Giese, the first principal of Washington Park High School is honored by an elementary school that bares his name. Four core values form the vision for Park.
